Hunarmand Khawateen

At our flagship craft fairs, an impressive 87% of the exhibiting applicants are women. Over time, these events have fostered a strong sense of community, leading to deep connections and a profound understanding of the challenges faced by many participants and their families.

As part of its mission to empower local businesses, #TheCraftersGuild is thrilled to embark on a new initiative aimed specifically at women facing adversity. This initiative with supplementary support of Smile Sunshine will focus on supporting single mothers and women who are employed but experiencing financial difficulties. As a first step in our ongoing advocacy, we are immensely grateful to introduce the "Hunarmand Khawateen" program, designed to uplift and empower women.

Through this initiative, a selection of women will undergo a thorough vetting and assessment process. They will be given an opportunity to expand their businesses based on the merit of their skills and talents, with support from The Crafter's Guild.

This support can encompass a range of opportunities, such as:

  1. Showcasing and promoting their work through craft fairs and pop-up events.

  2. Collaborating on events, giveaways, and partnerships to enhance their visibility and reach.

  3. Access to mentoring or referrals to training programs to further develop their skills and knowledge.

  4. Becoming beneficiaries of special campaigns or projects tailored to their needs and goals.

Women in Pakistan are undeniably resilient, courageous, and true achievers. Their unwavering commitment to their loved ones during the most challenging times fills us with immense pride, and we are eager to offer any support we can.

Here are some reasons to apply:

  1. Apply if you have a strong desire to expand your business.

  2. Apply if you are currently facing financial difficulties and need support to overcome them.

  3. Apply if your food venture has significant potential, but you're struggling to make it flourish.

  4. Please note that the first round of applications is open exclusively to those in Karachi.

It's important to emphasize that our vetting process will prioritize those who require assistance the most. Not all applicants will be confirmed or onboarded.
