Young Creatives
Over the years, The Crafter’s Guild initiatives have been a safe space for families and a binding force in building community. Over the years, numerous children, and young entrepreneurs ranging from the age of 7 to 16 have come forward and been given a place to showcase their skillset and craft (often at no charge) via The Crafter’s Guild. One of the biggest initiatives is the Young Creatives Segment which officially made its debut in 2022 at The 10th Anniversary of The Crafter’s Expo.
To enhance the depth and significance of this endeavor, The Crafter's Guild's Young Creatives program offers incentives to creative entrepreneurs under the age of 17. These young talents not only gain the opportunity to showcase their creations but also benefit from training sessions. They are introduced to guests and potential collaborators who can aid in their growth. They receive certificates, enjoy prominent recognition at the event, and receive valuable feedback on their products. Furthermore, they are given a platform to personally share their stories with the wider public, receiving well-deserved recognition, encouragement, and support for their efforts.
This multifaceted support not only motivates these young individuals but also contributes to their confidence, enhances their communication skills with potential customers and stakeholders, and enables them to forge new friendships while representing their work. Such incentives empower these children, instilling a sense of self-worth and fueling their aspirations. Additionally, many of them achieve remarkable sales success.
To date, the Young Creatives program has fostered the ideas and creative ventures of 27 children under the age of 17 officially.

Parents of Tayba (Tay) & Sakina (Sak) from PebArt by TS. So, the thoughts vibrated during 2021 where most were in post pandemic shocks of instability. We as parents, with only 2 girls, always chased for ideas and opportunities for our Kids to be independent from their early ages along with studies. We homeschooled them on a note of uncomfortable scenario during pandemic.
One fine day of late January 2022, me and daughters came up with idea of Pebble and Seashell painting/Art, looking at collection they picked from Seashore on a picnic. They already are Art head showcasing at their YouTube Channels, however, this time was a business. So, an investment they did from their pocket money of about Rs. 20k to buy paints and accessories. Created about 100 products, posted on Instagram and Daraz shop. Initially, family and friends supported by purchasing their products, even got customised. However, me as parents we were worried for growth, the reason was limited exposure and I was worried if my daughters get demotivated of no growth. Meanwhile a friend of mine shared about Young Creatives opportunity at Guild of Craft. Believe me we, who have always wished for such opportunities in our country, took it as a Beacon. We have many years of international residence and have seen these opportunities there, but we have never seen such a platform here in our country (my experience share would prove it).
Pebart by TS was selected and we (parents and daughters) actually rocked with excitement attending the orientation, as the clouds were cleared, so amazing people our kids gonna work with, so passionate and sincere souls with professionalism. Being on the same note " Exposure".
Now on grounds, the exhibition day, where all Young Creatives settled to do business, was so soothing. We were so glad to witness how our daughters handle their customers, managed income at their own, truly it was a great surprise. The Dawn News did coverage with their names, A basic five figured earning, Got an order from Coffee Wagera, Omnomzilla who has a Potter Head Family bought complete collection of Harry Potter, many renowned influencers, organizations, a decent huge footfall and above all the secured and supportive ambience inside made our day as parents, not only that my kiddos recorded their statement "we feel we are real entrepreneurs now" and heard more than hundred times "Varah Api and Hamza Bhai", discussed every next day at our home. The reason to mention it, is that Kids are sincere judges, and their expressions are obvious.
Let me admit that me and my husband has set Guild of Craft as benchmark for our kids, as we didn't participate anywhere else, as we believe the confidence and exposure our daughters got here is most valuable.
Hurray! They have been selected in 2023 too, super excited.

My daughter Aiman Aamir at the age of 13 got a chance to participate as a young Creative in "The Crafter's Expo 2022". This was a turning point in her career, as not only she learned how to get out of her comfort zone and talk and smile to people, but also managed to keep her calm and composure during an 8 plus hour long presence at the event. The mentoring at the very beginning started when she attended the workshop and she realised how every single thing she heard there, helped her throughout the event. It was her first time on her own during the entire time and she came out of it as a much more mature and smarter crafter.
Thanks alot for the opportunity. This small participation has given her the confidence to showcase her work as an independent crafter this year. And I am sure there is no way looking back insha Allah.
Lots of love and duas.

Little Funkar
A round of applause for Varah and The Crafters Guild who give opportunity to young creators like Fareeha aka Little-funkar. The opportunity Varah provide to Fareeha ignited her confidence. She also managed to make a number of sales and everyone there was impressed by her crafts which makes her so happy. This gave her confidence to exhibit her crafts on different platforms and also she got the chance to share her work with the wider audience through Masala TV ( The breakfast show) . Lastly Varah is the big supporter of local crafters.

Fruity Tales by Ayman
Whenever I heard the term entrepreneur, for some odd reason, someone at home making amazing, delish laddus always popped up in my mind. I never imagined my gurya, 9 yrs old at that time, was on her way to becoming an entrepreneur. I was always supportive toward her in whatever she would do at home. What started as a simple lip balm for home became into a small business! This little girl began taking orders for her homemade lipbalms from friends and family. Soon after Covid was near its end, I saw an opportunity from the Crafters Guild. It was a form for the selection for Young Creatives in the The Crafters' Expo '22. Luckily, she got shortlisted , and it was a huge turning point in her life! At the Young Creatives, Ms. Varah gave the kids a platform to display their work and get hands-on experience on what entrepreneurship is all about. From there, a whole new journey started where she put a reset button on her goals and how to set her foot into the market. I see her daily improving and visualising how to add more to her products. It's a journey and a long way to go, but taking the journey alone, one can only go a distance. Together, hand in hand with the other fellow Young Creatives Community she made friends with, I am sure she will go further ahead Inshallah!

Huz the Builder
Huzaifa was all about Lego and interlacing things since childhood. He would repurpose his Lego bricks and make sound structures. After signing him up for the Young Creatives '23 in the Bohemian Craft Show, he came across two professors from different universities who visited his stall and said something meaningful. "Lego is very expensive, and not every child in Pakistan can afford it. Make something like Lego, which every child in Pakistan can buy; made in Pakistan for Pakistan!"
What he regrets is that he didn't ask him his name, but the opportunity was through the Young Creatives Program. Huzaifa reset his goals, and after a period of two months of trial and error, he introduced real-life mini-sized construction bricks by the name of 'Kroft'. He provides real mortar along with his bricks to give a real-life construction experience. He got this product idea and started selling this around him. He wants to make Kroft available and affordable for every child. I am really grateful to Varah and her team for providing a safe platform for these young ones and believing in what the future generation holds for a prosperous and thriving Pakistan! ✨

Watching Mehreen participate as a vendor in the crafter's Expo was truly heartwarming. Seeing her confidently interacting with customers was such a joy. It was heartwarming to witness her dedication and creativity shine through, as well as the friendships she formed with fellow vendors. Not only did this experience boost her self-confidence, but it also introduced her to an absolutely different world , that Aunty Varah had created!!! My child came out happy and confident.
I believe this opportunity has benefited her in countless ways that will undoubtedly serve her well in the future.
Shes always looking forward to events by the Guild of Craft. She's a fan of Varah and team!!!
"I want to be a part of this amazing community, forever!" She says!!
