Women’s Day, 2022
Engro Fertilizers Head Office

On March 29, 2022, women-led businesses with a strong focus on sustainability and artisan crafts were selected following an open call facilitated by Esnaf.Art. A few weeks prior to this, the HR team at Engro Fertilizers had reached out to us regarding an event they were organizing to celebrate International Women's Day. They were keen on inviting diligent women entrepreneurs to showcase their work with a small pop-up setup at their office. While some were unfortunately unable to participate, the women who did attend the event impressed everyone at @lifeatengro with their exceptional creations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Engro Fertilizers for their belief in #HappinessisHandmade and in the creative talents of women. We feel truly honored by this opportunity.

To all the remarkable women in our community, let's continue to support and uplift one another! Here's to more opportunities for crafters and increased recognition for handmade products. Keep persevering and lifting each other up!

A special thank you to these remarkable women who embraced this platform and seized this prestigious opportunity.

    Anila Munaf
I was 18 when I got married and since then, all my time has been spent looking after my husband, in-laws, and kids. Being deaf, people thought all I can do is raise a family however, I decided I wanted to do something for myself. I stood for myself, enrolled in a stitching training at NOWPDP, actively look for jobs and landed one at Shamil. Now I am in my late 30's and I am stitching different products that has not only helped me discover my talent, but make a mark, and be myself!

  • Aliya's Craft and Creation

My name is Aliya Balouch, founder of Aliya's Creation and Collection (AC&C). AT AC&C, I make various home decor and lifestyle items made of crochet and knitting. I began crafting such products in 2017 when I saw a need for them in the market. I am from Hyderabad and learned much of these techniques and skills from my mother. I learned more by going to institutes and workshops to increase my skillset. After COVID, I began giving more time to my work to support my family and to combat the impact of the pandemic on our finances and livelihood.

  • Barhaam Organics

Let me tell you how I started my brand BarHaam OrgAnics and why. !

I am a very simple and homey girl belonging to a very conservative and feudal family. I was homeschooled and never attended any college or university

Skincare was my passion and I started working on it when I was just 20 years old. I entered into the field of research and watched numerous videos and read so many articles regarding it. I was struggling with some skin issues so 8 to 9 years ago I got into skincare I have tried most of the skincare brands that can easily available in Pakistan, my skin was always full of texture, blackheads, and discoloration I was so confused that what am I doing wrong I was doing every step day cream, serums sunscreen, toner, eye cream, night cream but then I feed up with these creams and serums and all, they look beautiful and tempting outside and sometimes feel good too but they were not doing anything amazing for my skin these frozen skin cares (i call it frozen skincare because it's not fresh they are mostly made 7,8 months before like a frozen food) didn’t work for me. it is very easy to understand for a layman having average common sense, that if something is made 7,8 months ago, how can it be beneficial for you?

These chemicals and preservatives are very good for these branded creams but not for our skin they mimic nature. Then I thought we have nature to empower and nourish us, then why to go for synthetics.

so I started making my own skincare recipes 6 years when I simplify my skincare with nature my skin become clear no more texture no more blackheads just bright and glowing skin, I made my recipes for beauty oils, scrub, and masks Based on my six years of research and keeping the dormer windows of my mind open, with limited resources and support, I saw my dreams coming true.

I recently started selling my products with a fear that I am not a professional. I don’t know how to do marketing and other stuff, even I don’t how to take amazing professional photos neither my content is so artistic, But I know how to heal with nature. I know you don’t need a preserve full of chemical and paraben skin care. That will lead you to cancer.

I make homemade hand blended skin care for which i use only pure and natural ingredients

    No chemicals

    No preservatives

    No parabens

    No synthetics

    No artificial colour or fragrance

    No water

I want you to empower your self with the power of nature.. which is my moto

People usually ask “ تم یہ سب چیزیں واقعی ڈالتی ہوں یا بس لکھ دیا ہے” then I think maybe my products are too good to be true

  • World of Art

When Allah takes away something, he definitely gives something special in return. Today I would like to share my story with you.

My name is Aliza Munim Kazi. I am deaf by birth. But gifted with extra talent and everything Masha’Allah. I never took my hearing or speaking disability as my weakness. Instead I proved to be one of the strongest women ever, Alhumdullillah. And of course my parents played an important role in instilling confidence in me. The struggles and hardships they have gone through cannot be put into simple words.

I am now happily married to the man who is also hearing impaired but equally talented – Munim Kazi. He secured the highest position in Indus valley in textile designing and is now working as a head fashion designer at a reputable organization

My dream is to become a famous artist of Pakistan for which I am working really hard. I participated in any competition which I found on Facebook. I am also been nominated in an exhibition held at Grandeur Art Gallery and many other exhibitions.

One thing that has kept me motivated throughout was that art has no language and barriers, if one is good at it, he can do it despite any kind of hurdles and limitations. For people sky is the limit, for me, I can go limitless through my art.

I run my facebook page as well @The World of Art in which I display the beauty of My Art which is loved by everyone in my surroundings ❤❤

Also participated in HSY's Competition and he was drooled over by my paintings 😍😍😍 Recently went to parliament house Islamabad to receive an award of "KHADIJA TUL QUBRA" it was an honoured to be there.❤️

I have the aim to empower women with disabilities specially Deaf women by supporting them to become a valuable member of the society.
